Owen Wilson confirmed to have joined Disney+ Loki series in a major role

Wow!

Great Odin's beard! Just a few moments ago, the world ravens, Huginn and Muninn, landed atop my windowsill. And upon opening their mighty beaks, instructed me to check out Comicbook.com, who reports that Owen Wilson is set to join the cast of Marvel's Disney+ series LOKI.

Now, before we venture any further into this story, I would suggest taking this news with a Frost Giant-sized grain of salt. I say this because Marvel has yet to officially announce Wilson's involvement, and so it's best to err on the side of caution for the time being. According to the aforementioned report, Wilson's role is being kept under wraps, though we're hearing that his will be a major part for the series.

When LOKI makes its way to Disney+, it will indeed be Tom Hiddleston who reprises his iconic role as the god of lies and trickery. So far, Hiddleston has represented the villain in Marvel's AVENGERS, THOR: THE DARK WORLD, THOR: RAGNAROK, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, and AVENGERS: ENDGAME. How Wilson could be introduced as a member of the LOKI cast is anyone's guess, though considering the actor's comedic chops, it's entirely possible that he could play Gelos, the god of laughter, or some other member of the Asgardian royal family.

Wilson recently completed work on director Wes Anderson's upcoming comedy THE FRENCH DISPATCH. According to the film's description, Anderson's next will serve as a love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in "The French Dispatch" magazine. Anderson will direct as well as write the feature, which also has Timothée Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, Elisabeth Moss, Willem Dafoe, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Waltz, Adrien Brody, Margane Polanski, and Cécile de France.

We'll have to wait for an official confirmation from Marvel to find out if WIlson has joined the cast of LOKI, but in the interest of shits and giggles, who do you think he should play, should this rumor prove to be true?
