Pacific Rim anime series unveils an action packed full trailer

Grab yourself an emotionally-compatible co-pilot because Netflix has deployed a full trailer for its new anime series Pacific Rim: The Black. Set to be unleashed on the streamer on March 4, the anime-style series follows two siblings forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger mech as they search for their missing parents.

Here's the official plot synopsis:

There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.

The seven-episode, half-hour animated series comes from Legendary Entertainment, and co-creators Craig Kyle (Iron Man, Thor: Ragnarok)and Greg Johnson (X-Men: Evolution, G.I. Joe: Renegades), with animation courtesy of Polygon Pictures.

With Legendary's Godzilla vs. Kong stomping into theaters and onto HBO Max in March, this feels like the perfect time for Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim franchise to make a roaring comeback. Are you ready to climb back into a Jaeger and kick some Kaiju ass from one end of Australia to the next? Let us know in the comments section below.
