VENGEANCE: A LOVE STORY's Johnny Martin's upcoming serial killer thriller HANGMAN has assembled a cast ofgenre veterans, though probably not the ones you'd immediately think of for this type of project: Al Pacino, Karl Urban, and Brittany Snow.

Urban and Snow will bring their experiences on flicks like DOOM, PRIEST, DREDD, PROM NIGHT, and WOULD YOU RATHER? to the fore here. And obviously, Pacino is just an enormously talented man who has worked in genre and genre-adjacent projects like THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE and CRUISING.

This sounds like a delightfully 70's-esque concept, penned by Michael Caissie and Charles Huttinger (SPEAK OF THE DEVIL):

A decorated homicide detective (Pacino) and a criminal profiler (Urban) collaborate to catch a serial killer who’s terrorizing a city with a macabre version of the children’s game Hangman. A crime journalist (Snow) is also shadowing the detectives.

HANGMAN will begin shooting in Atlanta on November 17th. Patriot Pictures' Michael Mendelsohn and Cheyenne Enterprises' Arnold Rifkin are producing.
