Paco Plaza offers up a blog & behind the scenes video for [REC] Genesis

The last update we got on Paco Plaza’s [REC] GENESIS came way back in January in the form of some casting news. Well here we are several months later with some behind the scenes goods for you guys!

Director Paco Plaza has been generous enough to start up a blog over at Elmundo.es. Now while you probably won’t understand anything over at Elmundo we’ve gone ahead and scored a translation of the blog for you guys. Check it:

“Paco Plaza here. This is the first in a series of videos that I will share with you so you can experience the filming of ‘REC3’. I will present them during the next few weeks along with details of the shoot. It will be an interesting look at the many people who contribute to making the movie (crew, actors …). I hope you like it. To begin with, I’ll introduce you to the ‘cube’ that accompanies us when we make movies. The candy and bakery products help us to face the shoot.”

But that’s not all! Plaza also tossed up a behind the scenes video from the flick that can be found right over HERE. Now unfortunately the video is in Spanish but you can still get an idea of what’s going on. Enjoy!

The action in REC: Genesis encompasses the events of the first two films and after the sense of claustrophobia previously experiences. The action now takes place miles away from the original location and partly in broad daylight giving the film an entirely fresh yet disturbing new reality. The infection has left the building. In a clever twist that draws together the plots of the first two movies this third part of the saga also works as a decoder to uncover information hidden in the first two films and leaves the door open for the final installment the future REC: Apocalypse.

[REC] GENESIS stars Leticia Dolera (below) and Diego Martin and is filming as we speak. As soon as we hear more on the film, or it’s sequel, you can bet we’ll bring the news straight to you!
