Pan’s Music Box

I’ve yet to meet someone who didn’t love PAN’S LABYRINTH. Personally, it’s one of the DVDs I payed most for in my collection and I didn’t even like it as much as most people. Guillermo del Toro’s masterpiece has warrented awards and praise everywhere. From the performances, to the effects, to the direction. Even the score has been talked about.

And that’s what I’m getting at today. The music for the film was amazing, especially the theme song: “Long, Long Time Ago” by Academy Award nominee Javier Navarrete. Well, looks like any PAN’S LABYRINTH fans out there will have the perfect thing for their Christmas wishlist.

The pictured music box will be made available this Wednesday, November 28 from Picturehouse. Interested? Then get it as soon as you can once that clock hits midnight, because only 2000 of these beauties will be made. They’re going for a pretty penny of $125, but it looks like that might just be worth it. Once opened, the box will play the song I mentioned, “Long, Long Time Ago.”

Thinking to yourself: “Well that’s fine and dandy… but where’s the kicker?” Well, if your willing to spend lots of money, there will be an auction happening via eBay that has the second music box made, signed by the man himself Guillermo del Toro. This is the actual box that was on display at the San Diego Comic Con. The proceeds will be going to charity, so if your a collector, go for it.

Once Wednesday rolls around, you can head over here to pick one of these music boxes up.
