Nacho-lovin’ King JoBlo today posted this year’s lineup for Paramount, which also happens to include new shots from David Fincher’s ZODIAC and D.J. Caruso’s DISTURBIA.
First up is Fincher’s take on the real-life Zodiac Killer in ZODIAC, which stars Jake ‘I spooned with Heath Ledger’ Gyllenhaal and everybody’s favorite bad boy, Robert Downey Jr. The film is set for release March 2nd, and shouldn’t be confused with the Alexander Bulkley pic THE ZODIAC (really, it shouldn’t). The film centres on investigators in four jurisdictions as they search for the killer terrorizing the San Franciso area. The case will become an obsession for four men as their lives and careers are built and destroyed by the endless trail of clues.
Next is DISTURBIA, which hits on Friday, April 13th. Starring Carrie-Anne ‘I’m Neo’s girlfriend’ Moss, Shia LaBeouf, David Morse and Sarah Roemer, and centres on Kale (Shia LaBeouf), who after his father’s death becomes sullen, withdrawn, and troubled – so much so that he finds himself under a court-ordered sentence of house arrest. His mother, Julie (Carrie-Anne Moss), works night and day to support herself and her son, only to be met with indifference and lethargy.
The walls of his house begin to close in on Kale. He becomes a voyeur as his interests turn outside the windows of his suburban home towards those of his neighbors, one of which Kale begins to suspect is a serial killer. But, are his suspicions merely the product of cabin fever and his overactive imagination?
Is it just me, or does this sound like Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 classic REAR WINDOW? Meh, click here for the rest of Paramount’s lineup. And no, still no pictures from Robert Zemeckis’ BEOWULF, which hits November 16th.
