Way back in October we heard about the pact Paramount was making with genre regulars Platinum Dunes. Well that was months ago and we’ve yet to see anything from it. That’s understandable considering Plat. Dunes have been busy with A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. So what now?
Well I’m here to tell you about a project coming our way that Paramount are looking to Platinum Dunes and Room 101 for. The feature, which is currently untitled, will be a creature feature in the vein of I AM LEGEND, ALIENS and THE DESCENT. Interesting. Are Platinum Dunes really going to try their hand at an epic creature feature? It sure seems like it folks. VACANCY’s Mark L. Smith penned the script for the untitled project.
Platinum Dunes and Paramount are also planning a remake of THE MONSTER SQUAD with Room 101’s Steven Schneider set to produce PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 and Oren Peli’s AREA 51, so there’s no telling when this monster movie will get underway. As always, keep it here for more as we hear it!
