Paramount retitles found footage sci-fi flick Almanac to Welcome to Yesterday

Back in April we told you about Platinum Dunes/Paramount's upcoming found footage sci-fi flick ALMANAC, which Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller produced alongside Michael Bay from a script by Jason Pagan & Andrew Stark. Not much was known about the Dean Israelite-helmed flick at the time other than the fact it was a found footage film centering around time travel, and in the many months since our initial report on the film we haven't learned anything new plot-wise. However, we do know that the film is scheduled for a February 28, 2014 release date and now Deadline is reporting that ALMANAC has undergone a title change.

According to Deadline, Paramount has retitled ALMANAC to WELCOME TO YESTERDAY and the film is still scheduled for its February 28 release. We've yet to see any artwork, stills or even a teaser for this mystery project, but we do know it stars Jonny Weston, Sofia Black D'Elia, Amy Landecker, Michelle DeFraites, Ginny Gardner and Sam Lerner.

This project has really piqued my interest, but mostly because of the secrecy behind it. We're only a couple of months away from the films release and we know next to nothing about it. I'm sure we'll be hit with tons of marketing materials for WELCOME TO YESTERDAY in the coming weeks so keep checking in with us.
