Patriot Pictures’ Halloween House going to revisit classic horror film locations

Details on a genre flick coming our way from Patriot Pictures and Alpha Media Group found their way into my inbox today and this little project happened to catch my eye. Usually something like this might be overlooked but for some reason this one kind of jumped out at me. I’m talking about a project called HALLOWEEN HOUSE. Ever hear of it? Well don’t worry… nobody has.

Patriot Pictures CEO Michael Mendelsohn is lined up to write and direct the feature, with an October 2011 release date planned. So what’s the deal with HALLOWEEN HOUSE? Check it:

Halloween House, currently in production, will be shot entirely on digital cameras including RED, hand-held phones and flip cameras in Hollywood at locations reminiscent of horror films from the past including, the house with the jack-o lantern on the porch from the original 1978’s Halloween.

The film has seven main characters, all female. Maxim Magazine and Patriot Pictures are planning on launching an international casting call this week in Los Angeles and with Maxim’s worldwide licensees — 24 countries and 52 territories worldwide — for women who will represent 7 central characters.
