Paul Walker looks furious while driving fast in the trailer for Vehicle 19

JoBloJoBlo

Paul Walker, the stoic star of the FAST AND FURIOUS franchise, has a steady stream of fairly low-rent actioners that cushion his time with Vin Diesel and co. with his latest being a South African rental car thriller.  No, you heard me right.

VEHICLE 19 follows the exploits of a foreign traveler (Walker) who rents a car that has a number of items inside that will tie him to a web of corrupt local police.  But, they screwed up big time, because Walker can drive really fast.  The majority of the trailer is Walker grimmacing behind the wheel with some flipping cars and shattered glass tossed in for good measure.  Also, monotone cell phone calls.

Might want to get extra insurance:

I’ve seen worse from the low-rent crowd, but I won’t be storming a redbox to view this.  Paul Walker has his appeal and does just fine in the FAST AND FURIOUS films, but hasn’t really transcended beyond the genre.  I guess that’s fine, but it’s got to get boring sitting behind the wheel for 70 percent of every movie.

VEHICLE 19 will open sometime in 2013 and Walker will be seen back in his familiar duds with THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6 on May 24, 2013.
