Today I’ve got a very sexy update for you all regarding Doug Aarniokoski’s NURSE 3D. Not only did we find out that Paz de la Huerta would be starring in the film as the titular nurse but we also have a pretty intense piece of art for the flick.
When I say intense I’m talking about, oh I don’t know… Paz de la Huerta naked and covered in blood? Yeah that about sums it up. You’re not even reading this anymore, right? Just in case you are do yourself a favor and scroll below for the goods. Enjoy!
By day Abby Russell is a dedicated nurse, someone you wouldn’t hesitate to trust your life with. But by night her real work begins…using her smoldering sexuality, she lures cheating men to their brutal deaths and exposes them for who they really are. When a younger nurse starts to suspect Abby’s actions and compromises her master plan, Abby must find a way to outsmart her long enough to bring the cheater you’d least expect to justice.
Lionsgate’s Chief Marketing Officer Tim Palen’s photography was actually what inspired NURSE 3D. The shots apparently explored the intersection of caretaking and punishment in an ongoing series of fine art photographs of beautiful, fantastical nurses used by the studio. He even had a bit to say regarding de la Huerta’s casting:
“Paz is the perfect actress for this role and has already been such an inspiration to the whole project. She brings an intensity and a sense of adventure to this role that is so promising. We learned from the success of MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D that there is a real interest in what 3D filmmaking can add to risqué scenes in R rated films, and this film will deliver those scenes to audiences in a really sophisticated, artful way.”
I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m sold on NURSE 3D! Principal photography is set to kick off on September 6th in Toronto. We’ll be sure to share any more NURSE 3D updates that come our way.
