PEE-WEE’S BIG ADVENTURE is one of my all-time favorite movies. I don’t care what embarrassments happened with Pee-Wee later in his career (and I’m referring to BIG TOP PEE-WEE), I can go back to that movie at any time and still laugh hysterically.
As I’m sure you’ve heard, Paul Reubens is bringing the Pee-Wee character back for a stage show in Los Angeles. To promote the show, Pee-Wee made a surprise appearance last night on “The Jay Leno Show.” While this might be the first and last time I’d ever implore you to sit through something from “The Jay Leno Show,” this is Pee-Wee’s first extended appearance in, gee I don’t know but it seems like a really long time.
