Only three days ago came the news that Machete – everyone’s favorite pimp-ass Federale – will be back at his slaying ways in MACHETE KILLS. To this end, writer/director Robert Rodriguez has gotten an early jump on the EFM by propping up a new sales art poster for the exploitation sequel. It’s awfully bloody too, folks…cop a peek underneath!
Last year Rodriguez told us, upon MACHETE KILLS being green-lit, that another faux-trailer will be included in the film. This time, it’ll preview a third entry in the franchise, already conceived as MACHETE KILLS AGAIN…IN SPACE! Pretty rad right!
With casting soon to come: The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.
MACHETE KILLS looks to be shot in April.
