Pegg/Frost/Wright to End

Ever since they busted out on the scene with SHAUN OF THE DEAD, it’s been nothing but a pleasure to see Simon Pegg and Nick Frost on the big screen with Edgar Wright behind the camera. SHAUN was dope, and their follow-up HOT FUZZ did for 80s action movies what SHAUN did for zombie movies. And lucky for us, there’s more on the way.

The new project the trio are working on together is called THE WORLD’S END, which Pegg talked to Entertainment Weekly about recently, but other than the title… we don’t know squat about it, other than Pegg’s vague description: If Shaun of the Dead was about leaving your 30s and taking responsibility, and Hot Fuzz was about being a man, then the next one will be about being an old man, being f—ing 40, which I am approaching. Edgar isn’t, the little bastard.

So basically, we still don’t know squat about it. But my theory? Just considering the title, I’m thinking the movie is going to take it’s own spin on disaster movies, or movies promising the world is going to end, hence the title THE WORLD’S END. Or, it could be some sort of apocalypse movie, or an alien invasion movie… it’s just hard to know at this point.
