Perlman talks Hellboy 3

So kiss a little longer! Hold tight a little longer! Get an erection for a little longerrrrrr! Longer with Big Red! Yes, I am purposefully getting my pop-culture items confused. Just my dumb means of making a segway into an article on HELLBOY. It seems that Mr. Ron Perlman sat down with the boys over at Bloody-D to discuss his upcoming bodies of work. And, of course the possibility of a third H-BOY came up. Here’s a snippet of his latest thoughts on the series:

“We know we have Guillermo over in New Zealand working with Peter Jackson on two HOBBIT movies. I, for one, wouldn’t want to be involved in any more HELLBOY movies unless he was involved in some measure, if he was at least overseeing what the third movie was going to look like. The studio doesn’t talk to me or my people for that matter. I guess they’ll just look at everything and decide. It would be a shame if we didn’t do a third one because it’s so set up for it. Everything was building towards this culmination.”

I agree. A third round of HELLBOY would certainly be a nice bookend to the series. The ending of HELLBOY II really left the door open for a wide range of fun possibilities. I do know that Mr. del Toro holds Big Red very close to his heart and I highly doubt we’ve seen the last of those filed horns!
