Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead) hits Blu-Ray in October!

If you’ve ever wanted to see an old zombie hag eat a dog in sparkling HD, well sir, have we got good news for you!

Peter Jackson’s DEAD ALIVE (aka BRAIN DEAD) will be getting the 20th Anniversary Edition treatment from Lionsgate, when the studio releases the film on Blu-ray on OCTOBER 4th Indeed, just another great addition to what’s shaping up to be a really exciting October. (The 4th of the month also brings us DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW: 30th Anniversary Edition and SCREAM 4, among others.)

No bonus features have been announced yet, but let’s hope they spare no expense!

If by some chance you don’t know what this gorefest is about, read on for the synopsis: On a quiet street, in a small town, pure evil has come to stay. Lionel, an innocent young man, is forced to care for domineering mother and finds the task a whole lot more demanding after she’s bitten by the cursed Sumatran rat monkey. Passing the point of death, Lionel’s mother sucks friends and family into her gruesome existence among the living dead and Lionel is sent spiraling into a ghoulish nightmare.
