Pit in Motion

Ray Harryhausen, that stop-motion genius who brought us some great classics, including CLASH OF THE TITANS and IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA, is working on a new project, this time with director Marc Lougee. Together their producing the short film adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM- all in glorious stop motion animation!


If you check out the flick’s Official Site, you can spy the all new TRAILER, which looks pretty kick ass, as well as amazing stop-motion effects.


This is the first in a line of animated shorts from Harryhausen that will all be based on the works of that demented poet Poe. I for one find this to be great news, as I’m a huge fan of Poe and all of his work.
