POLL: Who is Your Favorite Spider-Man?

Superhero fatigue may (or may not) be a real thing, but one thing’s for sure — it’s not affecting Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s box office one iota. In fact, Spider-Man seems like one of the rare superheroes who appeals to fans and non-fans alike, similar to Batman. There’s never been a live-action Spider-Man film that made less than $700 million worldwide, although Brand New Day has made almost double that in just over a week.

Yesterday, we posted our rankings of all the Spider-Man actors, with Tom Holland (unsurprisingly) topping the list. But we wanted to see if our readers felt the same way, so this week’s poll is dedicated to that very topic: Who is the best on-screen Spider-Man?

Now, who to include was something we weren’t quite sure about. We opted to include Nicholas Hammond from the live-action Spider-Man series from the seventies, as well as the two most prominent animated Spider-Men, Jake Johnson’s Peter B. Parker and Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales from the Spider-Verse movies. We stopped there, though, because if you’ve seen those movies, you’ll know there are TONS of Spider-Men, with even Chris Pine voicing an alternate Peter Parker in a memorable sequence in Into the Spider-Verse. Once you start including every variation, the list gets pretty unwieldy.

It’ll be interesting to see what folks think. Some will undoubtedly go with Tobey Maguire, who was the first Spider-Man to truly become a big-screen phenomenon and remains inseparable from the role for a generation of fans. Others likely love the ultra-charismatic Andrew Garfield, whose two movies, The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, have developed a devoted cult following, largely thanks to the quality of his performance. Then, of course, there’s Holland, who has now played the character for a decade and become the definitive Spider-Man for a whole new generation.

So, take the poll and let us know who your favorite Spider-Man is!
