Wanting to get the word out in hopes for finding a bigger distributor, Alter Ego is making KILLER available on DVD for a $10 donation- but only through the month of April. Want to dig on this? Check out the synopsis: The term “snuff film” first originated in the early 1970’s. Also known as “white heat” and “the real thing.” In 1975, the FBI investigated rumors of snuff in America. For the past 30 years, thousands of people have claimed that they’ve seen an actual snuff film. To this day it remains an “urban legend.” This film follows a Ted Bundy-like serial killer, Brandon, and his next victim, Stacy, who is about to become an unwilling participant in Brandon’s movie.
After checking out the TRAILER, you’ll see just how ‘snuff-film’ like it really is. Disturbing? You bet your ass it is! Fun? Not in the least. The trailer has some nudity in it, and damnit… it was the kind I really didn’t need to see. Is it doing it’s job? This wasn’t meant to entertain or glorify, it was meant to disturb, so f*ckin’ A, I’d say it accomplished what it sent out to do.
Honestly, this isn’t really my cup of tea in the least bit, and I wouldn’t personally want it in my DVD collection, but to each their own, as the saying goes. Check out the OFFICIAL SITE for more info on the film, as well as how to snag your copy on DVD through the end of April. Note: Probably not the work-safest thing to check out.
