Director Rebecca Zlotowski's PLANETARIUM doesn't appear to be a horror movie exactly, but it does dabble in areas that you typically only see covered in horror and it's not clear just how deep into that territory the story will tread, so it's one we're keeping an eye on.

Described as a fantasy, the film follows

the journey of sisters who are believed to possess the supernatural ability to connect with ghosts. They cross paths with a visionary French producer while performing in Paris.

Zlotowski wrote the screenplay with Robin Campillo. Natalie Portman and Lily-Rose Depp star as the spirit-contacting sisters, with Emmanuel Salinger as the producer.

Whether or not PLANETARIUM ever turns horrific, it does have my attention, and I'm intrigued by the newly released trailer, which can be seen below. If nothing else, it seems that the movie is going to be great to look at.

PLANETARIUM is set for an August 11th release in the U.S.
