Tricia Lee’s SILENT RETREAT is about to hit the shelves on DVD in Canada this September 2nd, so for those of you looking to pick up this slice of indie horror we've got a handful of stills and some artwork for the film that stars Chelsea Jenish, Robert Nolan and Sophia Banzhaf. The film follows Janey, who is sent to a silent meditation retreat in the woods for rehabilitation. She soon realizes that the men who run it are brainwashing women, and if she breaks the rules, she'll discover what lurks beyond the trees.

The synopsis:

In SILENT RETREAT, Janey Andrews (Chelsea Jenish) is sent to a remote rehabilitation centre to avoid jail time following an assault charge. Run by an ominous doctor (Robert Nolan) and his two sons, Janey is instructed to follow the rules of the retreat without question: No talking. No eye contact. No interaction of any kind. It doesn’t take long for Janey to realize that something sinister is taking place and with the help of a fellow inmate named Alexis (Sophia Banzhaf), the girls attempt to flee. Despite the doctor’s deplorable motives, Janey soon discovers that something much more sinister lurks just beyond the trees and she comes to understand exactly what the penalty is for those who break the silence.

The special features on the DVD are a behind the scenes featurette, director and writer commentary, an exclusive artwork gallery and trailers for the film. Take a look!
