It seems Warner Bros. isn’t quite ready to let go of their HARRY POTTER cash cow just quite yet as, according to a rumor that’s been floating on the internets, they’re flirting with the idea of splitting the final film in the franchise, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS in two. They’ve toyed with the idea before, having previously thought to split HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF PHOENIX into two, but ultimately decided against it likely because of the principal actors’ increasing age concerns. Now, however, they’re likely more receptive to the idea since they’ve probably realized that in a few years, they won’t have a guaranteed 200+ million dollar film to fall back on. Of course, this is all assuming it’s even true that they want to split the film. It could just be a vicious internets rumor so we’ll let you know if it turns out to be true or if we’ve been duped by the internets yet again. The sixth installment, HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE, on the other hand, opens November 21st.
