Power Rangers’ Ludi Lin to join Jason Momoa in Aquaman

Going from the Black Ranger in Dean Israelite's POWER RANGERS to the leader of the army of Atlantis in AQUAMAN? Not bad, not bad at all. Production on James Wan's AQUAMAN officially got underway earlier this month and now Deadline reports that Ludi Lin is the latest actor to join the cast.

Ludi Lin played Zack in POWER RANGERS just two months ago and now it seems that Lin will be playing Murk in AQUAMAN. In the comics, Murk is the leader of the front-line army of Atlantis known as the Men-of-War as well as a trusted ally of Aquaman. In addition to Jason Momoa starring as the title character, AQUAMAN also stars Amber Heard (JUSTICE LEAGUE) as Mera, Willem Dafoe (JOHN WICK) as Vulko, Temuera Morrison (STAR WARS: ATTACK OF THE CLONES) as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren (“THE EXPENDABLES) as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down) as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson (THE CONJURING) as Orm/Ocean Master and Nicole Kidman (LION) as Atlanna.

Jason Momoa has previously teased how he views the role, saying that Aquaman "was never really accepted on land, and he was never really accepted in Atlantis. He’s a half-breed. But he’s the best of both worlds. He just doesn’t know how to handle his powers. So it’s kind of a coming of age for a young man to a man, or a man to a king. He’s lost a lot of things and he’s got to cope. He’s an outsider." Before his standalone film, Aquaman will appear in Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE on November 17, 2017.

AQUAMAN is set for a December 21, 2018 release.
