Pre-production officially begins on James Wan’s The Conjuring 2

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Last month, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga were seen (in pictures initially believed to be taken on the set of THE CONJURING 2) preparing to reprise their CONJURING roles of real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren by visiting the couple's Paranormal Research Center and Lorraine Warren herself, now eighty-eight years old.

It's good that the actors are getting ready, because director James Wan has now marked the official beginning of pre-production on THE CONJURING 2: THE ENFIELD POLTERGEIST by tweeting out the picture below, saying

Here we GO. First day of official preproduction on #Conjuring2. After a much needed break, its good to b back at work

As with the first film, the sequel will be based on a case the Warrens actually investigated. The Enfield Poltergeist case saw a single mother and her four young children being terrorized by poltergeist activity in a rented home in Brimsdown, Enfield, England during the last three years of the 1970s.

New Line Cinema will be releasing THE CONJURING 2: THE ENFIELD POLTERGEIST into theatres on June 10, 2016. Personally, I can't wait to see it.
