Predators gets date

Late last week when word on the street hit about Robert Rodriguez directing the PREDATOR reboot PREDATORS (check it out HERE), I couldn’t believe it–and I’ve held out hope that it was all a bunch of talk, and that it wouldn’t really happen. Until today.

Why today? Today is when the release date for PREDATORS was announced, that’s why. So… when’s Rodriguez’s version of PREDATORS hitting the street? Mark your calendar for JULY 9, 2010!

Not only is it happening, but doesn’t that seem a bit soon? Sure, it’s 14 months away, and yeah, that’s plenty of time to make a legit, complete, and totally awesome movie, but whoa man–this is all just moving a bit too fast for me. Next July? Yikes!

My shock aside, what a great f*cking date to nab this early! Seriously–nice work, Fox! It might not be the July 4th weekend, but a week later ain’t bad at all…
