After checking out the sweet and totally kick ass trailer for Hollywood Picture’s awesome looking killer crocodile movie PRIMEVAL, I couldn’t wait for April! A hard core croc flick to make LAKE PLACID look like child’s play? I’m so there! And now.. it looks like I don’t have to wait nearly as long as I thought.
According to the film’s OFFICIAL SITE, PRIMEVAL is aiming for a JANUARY 12th release! Yup, next Friday is lookin’ like the date when Orlando Jones, Dominic Purcell and Brooke Langton (below) battle the croc with an extremely large appetite for human blood.
But what is this saying about the movie itself? Yes, I’m stoked to see it 4 months earlier than originally planned, but as it appears that it’s being ‘dumped’ into January (a month notorious for crappy releases), I’m a bit worried. Will this too be pile of steaming donkey poo? Considering it was originally up against GRINDHOUSE, I’d say it was a smart move for the change- even if it feels like it’s getting the shaft. They better start advertising now if they want anyone to know this movie exists!
