Producer Scott Buck opens up about the sixth season of “Dexter”

I know you guys are just as excited as I am about the new season of “Dexter”, so when news breaks on an update regarding this upcoming sixth season, well you can bet I’m going to tell you all about it!

Now unlike the onslaught of casting news we’ve been getting recently, today’s update is actually in the form of an interview Entertainment Weekly tapped with “Dexter” executive producer and new showrunner Scott Buck. The in-depth interview touches on a number of things about the new season, from casting questions to plot crunches. Here’s a bit of it to get you started:

“What does it mean when a serial killer goes on a spiritual search? Dexter (Michael C. Hall) has always known what he doesn’t want to pass onto his son — his “dark passenger” — but now he’s beginning to ask what he does want to pass on. So that’s forcing him to look around to see what else there is in life.”

To check out the whole interview you’ll want to head right over HERE.

Dexter Morgan spent Season Five atoning for the death of his wife, Rita. He committed to being a part of her children’s lives and entered into a deep, passionate relationship with Lumen, unlike anything he’d ever had before.

But Dexter’s need to kill overpowers his desire for human connection. And now that one person knows the truth about him, and a few others are close, how much longer will America’s favorite serial killer be able to keep his dark side a secret?

“Dexter” Season 6 hits Showtime this Fall with a cast that includes Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, Josh Cooke, Colin Hanks, Molly Parker, Edward James Olmos, Aimee Garcia, Billy Brown, Brea Grant (below) and Mos Def.
