Extraction 2: Chris Hemsworth sequel has officially finished filming

We’re getting a bit closer to seeing the sequel to the Netflix hit, Extraction. It has been announced that filming has wrapped on the Chris Hemsworth-led Extraction 2.

The news was revealed by director Sam Hargrave who posted a video of himself from the set while making the announcement. The video was posted on his Instagram page with a caption that reads, “That’s a wrap!!! Last day of principle photography on Extraction 2. What an incredible journey. Thank you to all of the cast and crew, this was an epic achievement and I am so proud of everyone. THANK YOU!!!” You can check out the Instagram post below!

Chris Hemsworth finished up his work on the project a week prior to the film wrapping production. At that time, Hargrave also posted another video of Hemsworth addressing the crew as he revealed the actor had finished filming all of his scenes for the sequel. It’s crazy to think but the start of the pandemic started with Netflix gifting us the early distraction we needed with their original film Extraction. The action-packed film starred Chris Hemsworth and was written by Joe Russo with Sam Hargrave at the helm. The movie quickly became the biggest movie ever released on Netflix which made sequel talks almost immediate. In the first film, Chris Hemsworth plays Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary that embarks on the most deadly extraction of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. The movie also stars Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Pankaj Tripathi, Derek Luke, Marc Donato, and David Harbour.

Are YOU excited for Extraction 2 now that it’s wrapped filming?
