Y’all mofos stoked for John Landis’ period horror comedy BURKE AND HARE?
It’s been a good six weeks since we last heard Simon Pegg dish a little about the loose remake of the 1972 British film, how gruesome it promises to be, how it challenges the audience’s morals, etc. Well, looks like the fine folks at SlashFilm have dredged up a pretty sweet promo poster for the flick. By all means, scroll below for a peek!
From the collaborative penmanship of Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft, BURKE AND HARE is a black comedy based on the true story about the famous murderers, ‘Burke And Hare’ follows the hapless exploits of these two men as they fall into the highly profitable business of providing cadavers for the medical fraternity in Nineteenth Century Edinburgh, then the centre of medical learning. The one thing they were short of was bodies.
Andy Serkis plays Pegg’s sidekick foil, with support coming from Isla Fisher, Tim Curry, Tom Wilkinson, Stephen Merchant, Jenny Agutter, Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, Georgia King and Bill Bailey.
The flick holds a tentative 2010 U.K. release. No word when we’ll be seeing the comic grave-robbers stateside. I’m sure we’ll have one soon, so stay plugged in!
