I don’t care what anyone says, I think PUNISHER: WAR ZONE looks like a hoot and a half. Even if it stinks up the house, there’s a legitimate chance it’ll be – at the very least – a movie that causes you to spit your beer up in laughter/shock. That’s usually just about good enough, right? At least it genuinely reminds me of the comic-book in some respects, something the bland Thomas Jane version never did. I’ve got my fingers crossed for this one, I kid you not.
Yahoo! has a brief behind-the-scenes featurette that offers you a peek into the garish world of Frank Castle (Ray Stevenson) and Jigsaw (Dominic West, looking pretty creepy above). Click right HERE to check that out.
And if that isn’t enough, Marvel.com has put out a new commercial for the film, which opens DECEMBER 5th. You can watch that below.
Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the “Punisher Task Force” hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.
