A flick released earlier than expected is usually a good sign, expressing the studio’s desire to get it out and make some money sooner than later because they think the film is simply that good. On the flip side, when a flick is pushed back it’s usually a bad sign, studio confidence is low and they may need some extra time polishing it up.
But I’m sure you already knew that. QUARANTINE, the remake of [REC], is now being released one week earlier than originally expected, claiming the October 10th spot over the previously announced October 17th.
A flick bumped up is usually a good sign (remember), so this is one positive move in the right direction for us.
