Great news for fans of Radiohead and/or nihilistic fiction: Radiohead has scored the upcoming film adaptation of Chuck Palaniuk’s f*cked-up-to-the-max novel CHOKE, which is hitting theaters in limited release on September 26.
Here’s what Palaniuk told BBC 6 Music: “Clark Gregg…knew that I’d written Choke while listening to Pablo Honey, with ‘Creep’, over and over and over. So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits.
“Apparently Radiohead liked the movie so much, they’ve written the score, most of the ambient music throughout it. So it’s ‘Choke– with the music of Radiohead’.”
F*cking fantastic news if you ask me. Love Radiohead, and if they were in “Pablo Honey” mode while scoring CHOKE, then I think we’re in for even more of a treat than we thought.
CHOKE stars Sam Rockwell as Victor Mancini, a sex-addicted con-man pays for his mother’s hospital bills by playing on the sympathies of those who rescue him from choking to death.
Something we can all relate to! The flick also stars Anjelica Huston, Kelly Macdonald, Brad William Henke, Bijou Phillips, and Paz de la Huerta (pictured below).
