After looking this poster over for about 28 minutes straight, I’ve decided that it’s the real deal. Initially, my first impression was that this was fan art, and there was no way this could be the actual teaser poster for RAMBO. But as it’s coming at ya via IMPAwards and all, I gotta let it go that it really is the poster we may be seeing in theaters soon enough.
Once this realization set in I got all bubbly inside: I can’t wait to see this plastered outside the theater with a huge coming soon banner above it. Done in the style praising revolutionary heroes (Che Guevara style), and feeling very 80s, this graffiti inspired artwork seems to fit the story of RAMBO, going back into action in the Burma jungle to rescue a group of missionaries. Let’s face it, the name and face of RAMBO is iconic, they probably could have just had his face and no words, and it’d still be effective as hell.
