Rappers are Pigs

Who says rappers can’t act? LL Cool J has made a name for himself, with such classics as HALLOWEEN: H20 and DEEP BLUE SEA. ‘Marky’ Mark Wahlberg was recently nominated for an Academy Award for saying ‘f*ck’ a lot and talking a lot of shite. Busta Rhymes kicked Michael Myers’s ass in HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION. The list of acting greats goes on and on and on…

And it doesn’t look to be slowing down, either. Variety announced this morning that rappers and father/son team Master P and Lil’ Romeo have been cast and set to star in David Gueringer’s THE PIG PEOPLE, a slasher flick that follows five college students who are terrorized in a haunted forest by half-swine, half-human creatures.

I don’t know what’s more frightening. A movie about alf-swine, half-human creatures, or a movie starring Master P and Lil’ Romeo. I’m gonna have to go with the half-swine creatures, mostly because the image there is freakin’ me out already. It’s like the pig mask from the last few SAW sequels. Creeeeeepy.

The title is fittingly simple, and yet invokes a sense of horror the world has never seen. THE PIG PEOPLE. Again, creeeeeepy. The flick’s also set to star Blake Lee, Marshal Hilton, Mickey Faerch, and Daeg Faerch, though no word on an expected release date has been announced.

Is the world ready for a Master P / Lil’ Romeo acting duo extravaganza? Only in a movie called THE PIG PEOPLE does this casting choice seem to make total sense….
