Rawhead Rex reboot in the works

One of my favorite horror authors out there is Clive Barker. And one of my favorite horror short stories of all time is Barkers monster-on-the-loose tale RAWHEAD REX. The short story has already been adapted for the big screen in the past but today we're hearing that a reboot might be in the works. In fact, the original film's director George Pavlou recently sat down and had a chat with Dark Side Magazine and the man says that there might be a RAWHEAD REX reboot headed our way soon. Quite simply, Pavlou says:

We might reboot Rawhead Rex.

Simple and to the point. Just like Barker's original short story. And just like the synopsis for the original movie which goes a little something like this:

A U.S. historian (David Dukes) takes his wife (Kelly Piper) and son to an Irish town where the oozing devil incarnate dwells.

The original adaptation was directed by Pavlou from a screenplay adapted for the screen by Clive Barker himself. Kevin Attew and Don Hawkins produced and the film starred David Dukes, Kelly Piper, Niall Tóibín, Cora Venus Lunny, Ronan Wilmot, and Donal McCann. Buy it on Blu-ray HERE.

Again, RAWHEAD REX is one of my absolute favorite Clive Barker short stories – hell, it's one of my favorite horror short stories altogether. And so as you might imagine, even hearing a small sliver of hope that we will be seeing the big guy on the screen again one of these days has me almost literally jumping for joy over here. I just don't want to scare the dogs so I'm going to stay in my chair. Otherwise? There would definitely be some furniture moving around the old Sprague place. How excited are you to hear there might be a RAWHEAD REX reboot in the works? Let us know below!
