Reality takes a backseat in extended Doctor Strange clip

We've already been gifted with one outstanding Marvel flick this year, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, and, if you believe the critical consensus over at Rotten Tomatoes, we may very well have another on our hands with Scott Derrickson's DOCTOR STRANGE. With just days to go until Marvel's latest is released to theaters, a new clip has emerged which showcases some of the trippy imagery and reality-bending powers of Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) as he and Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) attempt to escape fromĀ Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) and his followers. Throw in some Tom Cruise inspired running for good measure and you've got yourself a clip!

An official synopsis for DOCTOR STRANGE:

Stephen Strange beset by demons controlled by apprentice sorcerer Karl Mordo, but was rescued by Mordo's mentor, the Ancient One, a millennia-old sorcerer who protected the Earth dimension as its Sorcerer Supreme, a role Strange was destined to inherit. He offered himself as a disciple to the Ancient One, who accepted, having known of Mordo's treachery all along. The Ancient One spent years instructing Strange in the art of sorcery, teaching him how to tap the innate mystic powers of both himself and the world around him.

Make sure to check out our own Eric Walkuski's review of DOCTOR STRANGE before you head to the theater. Speaking of, DOCTOR STRANGE will finally hits theaters on November 4th.
