There’s been a lot of rumblings about a [REC] 3 recently but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here… [REC] 2 hasn’t even hit the US yet!
So let’s take a step back and try this again. Forget about [REC] 3. We’re here to talk about [REC] 2 today, which is actually gaining some pretty positive buzz. I’m hearing stuff like ‘better than the first film’ everywhere I turn. Well actually I’ve only heard it a couple times… but you get the idea! Today a new trailer for [REC] 2 popped up on the net all the way from Italy! Splatter Container got first dibs on the international trailer, which can be found below.
[REC] 2 comes from the directing team of Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. It stars Manuela Velasco, Ferran Terraza, Javier Botet, Pablo Rosso, Claudia Font, Nico Baixas and Martha Carbonell. The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation. [REC] 2 is currently making the festival rounds with a few international releases set up in the next couple months. Unfortuantely still no word on when it will hit the US. We’ll eagerly await that announcement and keep you all updated on any [REC] news as we hear it.
