Canadian premiere –
Fantasia
Yesterday was the North American premiere of
RECON 2022
at the
FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL. Director Christian
Viel and actor Andy Bradshaw, took the stage, presented the film and
then the flick rolled on. From what I could hear the film was very well
received. The enthusiastic crowd laughed and clapped throughout…it sounded
like they were having a blast i.e. “they got it”! YES!
Although I was proud of my performance and of how
my contributions to the script played out onscreen; I felt mucho happy for director (and editor and producer and co writer) Christian Viel
first and foremost. The man busted his freaking ass for this film on a level that defies the
imagination…yup you heard me…THAT DEFIES THE IMAGINATION! Knowing the many
obstacles Viel had to surmount both during production and post, I was beyond elated for
the guy (still am)! All his hard work was not in vain. Props again bro!
After the screening, Viel and some of the cast
and crew (this jerk included) hit the stage to answer some questions from the
crowd and then we all went drinking to celebrate. Was a very good night for me
personally; one of the best of the year thus far. Good people, good drinks, good movie!
I just love positive energy man! Big thanks to everybody who showed up to support the film and special thanks to Joblo and my brother Pat for the continuous back-up. You guys are the best! Now
