Last year a little movie called REEKER came out, exploiting the slasher genre with a touch of cheese and a dash of fun. Looks like others thought it was a blast too, because there’s a REEKER 2 on the way, and the teaser poster is here to prove it!
Produced by Cinema Management Group and The Institution, principal photography is set to begin this fall, from director Dave Payne (the guy who brought us part 1). So what’s this REEKER, subtitled NO MAN’S LAND, all about? Check it:
A Sheriff and his son try to apprehend bank robbers on their way to Mexico only to find that they are both being stalked by a far more deadly enemy, the fire-wielding Reeker.
Sounds fun to me! What’s also fun is this teaser poster, as it screams something the lines of THE HITCHER meets I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. Plus, the tag line rocks! You can tell that the tone is gonna be light and campy, and it’s definitely not taking itself too seriously. Good shite!
