Release updates

There are two release date updates for a couple of flicks that you may be interested in checking out. One is a remake with a brand new date attached, while the other is a sequel with a date change a week earlier… I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by both.

First off, the new date. Platinum Dunes remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. will be released on April 16, 2010. Mark your calendars for the end of the world, people. This goes along with what My Buddy Eric posted yesterday concerning a couple of NOES news flashes (check those out HERE). If you had any doubts in your mind that this was going to happen… push them aside. This sucker is coming and there’s nothing you can do about it! At least they’re not rushing it to come out at the end of August or something ridiculous like that…

Speakiing of August, that brings up our date change for FINAL DESTINATION: DEATH TRIP 3D, which was scheduled to be released on August 21st, and is now scheduled to be released on August 14, 2009. Moving up just one week, and taking it out of the firing range of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS. Good move, New Line! The film may stand a chance to make some cash!

So there you have it. Two new release dates for two upcoming horror flicks, one looking to blow your mind with awesome 3D death sequences, the other looking to rape your senses by remaking a film that didn’t need to be remade in the first place.
