For being a remake of an obscure, somewhat bizarre, and all around cult classic, it’s somewhat surprising to me that it’s getting the kind of cast that would fit something more Grade A.
Variety is reporting that Kate Beahan (MATRIX REVOLUTIONS) has just joined Nicolas Cage, Leelee Sobieski and Ellen Burstyn on Neil LaBute’s remake of WICKER MAN.
If this puppy’s anything like the orginal, full of hallucinatory shit, and a bunch of nudity (forget that it’s weird nudity- it’s nudity none-the-less), then this remake is going to rock! Now let’s bask in the glow of Leelee Sobieski… man, she really does have one of the coolest names to say… Leelee Sobieski…
The Hollywood Reporter mentioned today that another remake in the making has landed another cast member, this time it’s Daniel Craig (THE JACKET) boarding Oliver Hirschbiegel’s INVASION, loosely based on INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. He joins hottie Nicole Kidman in the flick, which is being produced by none other than Joel Silver. Flop or hit, either way, Kidman is hot!
