I’d like to inform you guys about a new genre flick that centers around a box and a breath. I know that may not make sense yet, but you know I’ll be divulging further details that’ll definitely give you a better understanding. First off, the flick is called RESPIRE and that is one f*cked-up image from it up top. Upon first seeing that sight, as well as the harsh pic below, I knew that this bastard was something worth reporting on. Take a gander at its synopsis:
The Ancient Romans believed that the soul escaped one’s body with the last breath. It was believed the last breath held the power to cure disease and prolong life. In the 1930s, Dr. Robert Kaminsky devoted his life to finding out how to harness the power in the last breath.
Susan Jordan owns a local novelty shop. One item in her shop, an antique box once owned by Kaminsky, draws the interest of two men. Raif Collins, who hopes it’s contents can save his dying sister, and Alex Poe, whose motives are more mysterious. Susan quickly finds herself in a perilous struggle to protect the box and the secrets it holds.
From those pics, I’m bettin’ there’s something pretty hardcore inside that freakin’ box. Hopefully the contents will please us horror fans. I believe there was once another horror movie about some box that was rather well-received (yes, I’m being sarcastic). RESPIRE was directed by David A. Cross, and stars Tracey Teague, Mat Wright and Vince Eustace. For a couple more pics, you can click right here.
