What’s so awesome about this is that Rhames’ character was the one character I’d like to see kick some more zombie ass, so hooray for that! Other DAY casting news claims that Mira ‘I’m hot but my voice is kinda annoying’ Sorvino will also have a role in the film! Nice! She’s a good actress, she’s a hottie, and ever since MIMIC, we’ve known she’s had it in her to rock the genre, so bring it on!
Say what you will about the original DAY (personally, I can’t stand that flick), this remake actually sounds like it could kick a lot of ass just from this casting news alone. Plus, Steve Miner’s directing (FRIDAY THE 13TH PART II), so you know it’s gonna have some serious style. Of course, nothing’s official as of yet, so keep your fingers crossed that we hear something soon that this is for real, and not just a rumor.
