When we talk BATMAN characters that we’d like to see grace the big screen, one that commonly comes up is the villainous Harley Quinn. “Oh Mista J! I’d love to see my name in lights!” I’ve seen tons of fan art with potential actresses that the fans have in mind like Kristen Bell, the late Brittany Murphy, Christina Ricci, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Zooey Deschanel, Fairuza Balk, and several others.
RIDDICK’s Katee Sackhoff recently expressed interest in playing the character if their were ever plans to put her in an upcoming flick:
ESQ: There are a lot of superhero movies being made right now and Vin has been teasing that he’s going to end up in Guardians of the Galaxy. Is there a female superhero that you would love to play if you had the chance?
KS: I love Harley Quinn. I do. I just love it. It’s not been done before. It’s this fantastic mix. I mean, it’s like the female Joker. Who wouldn’t want to do that? Quite potentially — it’s not around so I wouldn’t feel the weight of it — I’d probably sell my first born at this point to do that.
I’m not opposed to the idea. I love Sackhoff as Starbuck. I remember the first time I saw her lounged in her bunk, smoking a cigar, and I thought, “That is one kick ass lady!” She would have to embrace her inner acrobat but that shouldn’t be a problem. It would be cool if we did see Ms. Quinzel pop up at some point.
