And we lose another icon; am sad to report that actor/director/cool cat DENNIS HOPPER passed away today, having to do with complications with prostate cancer. Personally Hopper owned me as an actor outside the genre (Rebel Without a Cause (1955), Cool Hand Luke (1967),Hang ‘Em High (1968), Apocalypse Now (1979), within the genre (The Osterman Weekend (1983), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986), River’s Edge (1986), Blue Velvet (1986) and also has a director (Easy Rider (1969), Colors (1988), The Hot Spot (1990). The dude was the real deal, a multi talented man, one who’s long career speaks for itself, one who lived life to the fullest. He was an inspiration and will be sorely missed. RIP DENNIS HOPPER and thanks for the memories.
