I’ve always liked HEATH LEDGER, even
though I’ve only seen five films of his, 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, THE
PATRIOT, THE BROTHERS GRIMM, THE ORDER and BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. There was an
affable quality about the lad both on and offscreen that always appealed to me.
So I was hit with some sadness yesterday when I heard that he was found
dead in a New York apartment at 3:26PM. Cause of death? Prescription pills overdose. Intentional? Not determined yet
(autopsy will be conducted today), although Heath’s family have already stated
in the press that his death was an “untimely and accidental passing”. Heath was
28 years old (so damn young). He was working on
Terry Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” and will of course
be The Joker in the upcoming “Dark Knight.”
Heath leaves his family and his young daughter Matilda Rose (whom he had with
former fiancée Michelle Williams) behind. Such a shame he had to leave us so
soon, he was just starting to show us what he could "really do" acting wise. All of us here at AITH would like to wish our
deepest condolences to Heath’s loved ones and his family. RIP.
