Wesley Snipes says Sean Connery acted in his underwear for Rising Sun

Losers may always whine about their best, but no one is better than the late Sir Sean Connery. The legendary progenitor of 007 on the big screen passed away in the crap-tornado that was 2020, but his shadow still looms large over Hollywood. As such, stories will forever be relayed about the Scottish icon for years to come. Who is ready for some Sean Connery storytime? Today's new tale comes courtesy of Connery's Rising Sun co-star, Wesley Snipes, who regaled the world with a yarn about the elder actor's proclivity for performing sans pantaloons.

In other words, Sir Sean would act without trousers if his legs were not visible in the shot.

“When we were doing car scenes I was fully costumed. He came in with a jacket, tie, and shirt, (underwear), and slippers," Snipes told Total Film (via Toronto Sun).

“I’m sitting there thinking, ‘Should I say something?’”

“We filmed the whole scene and then he leaned over and says, ‘Why are you dressed in all your suit?’

“I was like, ‘I had to do a scene,’ and he said, ‘No, son, you don’t need your (trousers). Why do you need them if the camera’s up here?’

“I was like, ‘Wow’ and a light went off. And since then, whenever you see me in a car unless I have to get out, I’m in my shorts.”

Like I always say, pantslessness is highly underrated. Man, I knew that Connery was a smart cookie, but I didn't know he was anti-pants. Personally, I'm all about comfort, and unless I'm going someplace where I might know people, I often don't change out of my pajamas. After all, I haven't got anything to prove to anyone. Let it ride, I say.

It warms my heart to know that Wesley Snipes doesn't bother with pants unless a scene specifically calls for them. That's livin'.

Where do you stand on the concept of pants? Are they a necessary evil or simply another social construct established by the Man? Be sure to sound off in the comments section below and tell us where you stand.
