Which films we talkin’ about here? I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE (1943), THE BODY SNATCHER (1945), BEDLAM (1946), and FIVE CAME BACK (1939). Each film was big for RKO Pictures at the time of their release, featuring such stars as Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lucille Ball, and John Carradine. Fickman, who directed the upcoming RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN, will be directing at least one of the flicks, though it’s unknown which one he’ll be taking on.
As I stated earlier, this era of film is open for the remake chopping block for many reasons, one being that I doubt many people remember, let alone have seen, any of these films in the first place–they’ll be like ‘new’ to many. And I’m sure the originals will be revived on DVD once the remakes hit the big screen.
No word on which film will be made first and when, bu you can bet your ass we’ll keep you updated when we find out!
