Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro are one of the greatest director/actor duos in cinema history, but as much as we don’t like to think about it, both of them are getting up there in years. It’s always magic when they get together, and De Niro told GQ that he expects to make “at least another one” with Scorsese.

“I know I was fortunate to be able to do 10 movies with him,” De Niro said. “And maybe we’ll do more, or at least another one, hopefully. Who knows?” I certainly hope so.
The pair began their partnership with Mean Streets and went on to work together on Taxi Driver, New York, New York, Raging Bull, The Kings of Comedy, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Casino, The Irishman, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Is it greedy to want more? Probably, but I don’t care.
What Happens at Night
Scorsese has been shooting What Happens at Night, a psychological horror film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Patricia Clarkson, Mads Mikkelsen, and Jared Harris.
The film is a “dream-like story of a married American couple who travel to a small, snowy European town to adopt a baby. They check into a cavernous, largely deserted hotel where they encounter an enigmatic cast of characters including a flamboyant chanteuse, a depraved businessman and a charismatic faith healer. Nothing is quite as it seems in this strange, frozen world. As the couple struggle to claim their baby, the less they seem to know about themselves and the life they’ve built together.“
Apple Original Films will finance and produce What Happens At Night, which has been scripted by Patrick Marber (Notes On A Scandal), based on the novel of the same name by Peter Cameron.
Focker-in-Law
As for De Niro, he’ll be returning to the Fockers franchise later this year with Focker-in-Law. The new sequel features Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson returning to reprise their roles. Skyler Gisondo and Bernie Feldstein play Henry and Samantha, the children of Greg (Stiller) and Pam (Polo), with Ariana Grande as a “ballbuster” engaged to Henry.
The film is set to hit theaters on November 25.
