Robert Downey Jr. falls from the sky in this awesome new poster for Iron Man 3; plus a tease for the Superbowl spot

JoBloJoBlo

Lots of news has been rolling in on the IRON MAN 3 front, so why not a new poster to boot?  Much like THE WOLVERINE “art” poster released a while back, this new one sheet puts Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) front and center as he plummets from the sky in a heavily battle damaged Iron Man suit.  From what we’ve seen in the trailers and what we’ve heard from the filmmakers, Stark is set to face an uphill battle in the film, where he’ll be forced back to his roots in order to rebuild and fight back against the villainous Mandarin (Ben Kingsley).  Could this poster be indicative of how he gets to his lowest point?

On top of all the news this week, you can expect a new 60-second Iron Man trailer this weekend during the Superbowl, which could potentially show off some epic new footage.  Today, another one of those lame-ass teasers for a trailer was released to grease you up for the big show, so take a look if you’re so inclined.  It’s nothing too special, but at the least, it confirms that we’ll have a new trailer this weekend.  I’m a glass half-full kind of guy.

IRON MAN 3, directed by Shane Black and starring Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, William Sadler, Rebecca Hall, and Jon Favreau charges into theaters on May 3, 2013.
